Thank you for applying for Willow Rosenberg. As you know, your application was challenged and while it was a tough choice, we have decided to approve the other application. We do hope that you will still submit your Bella application. A few pointers for future apps, if you don't mind. * Your history was very detailed and accurate. However, the tense changed from past to present throughout the entire thing. If you could try to focus on one tense, it would make the application flow much easier. * Also, you might want to run your application by a beta reader to see what they think. Some of your statements came off a little choppy, which is very easy to do. We all do it, but the smoother it is, the easier it is to read. Once again thank you. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Thank you so much for your interest in Violet Baudelaire and our game, Dark Wish. Before we can make a final decision on your application, there is one thing we'd like to see done a little more in-depth. The history didn't seem to flow very well. It was more like a list of events that happened in each book, and didn't reflect at all what Violet might have been feeling, or her thoughts on what was happening around her, which we love to see. Examples of what we'd like to see can be found here and here. We realize that it's difficult to condense thirteen books of history into several paragraphs, especially when it is a main character of the books. (As an avid HP-RPer I once had to attempt to condense Harry Potter's life story into six paragraphs. Did. Not. Function. So feel free to use as many paragraphs as it takes).
